About me
My name is Giorgia, and I'm a passionate Clinical and Counselling Psychologist!
I started my academic path in 2011 at the University of Bologna (Italy) and then extended my studies at London South Bank University.
In my professional journey, I have worked with adults and children in different settings: mental health services, charities, schools and private practice. I currently work for a Mental Health private hospital in Central London.
Working with Adults
I am experienced in working with clients with various mental health difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, personality disorders, psychosis, self-harm, suicide, post-traumatic stress disorders, issues related with neurodiversity, work-related stress, adjustment disorders, relationships and inclusion-related issues.
Working with children and young people
I have experience working with children and adolescents with challenging behaviours, special educational needs, developmental disorders and learning disabilities. Also, I am a qualified Yoga Teacher for Children, and I use movement as a powerful expressive tool.
My professional training included a variety of therapeutic approaches such as cognitive and behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, compassion focus therapy, polyvagal theory, psychodynamic techniques and others, which enable me to work as an integrative practitioner to suit each client's individual needs.
In my private practice, I work with adults, individuals and groups.
